What is google translate?
Google translate is a translation system service developed by Google which can translate over 103 languages nowadays. There are both pc and mobile version for google translate. Google translate launched in April 2006. Google then keep developing its translation accuracy and other features.
Where are the languages data come from?
They come from United Nations and European Parliament transcripts.
How to use google translate? (Mobile version)
After you downloaded the apps google translate and clicked on it, there will be a bar on top of the apps which have languages on it. The top left corner is the language you translate.
The top right corner is the language you read. You can just press the language button in both boxes to choose the language you want. If you press the detect languages, google translate will automatically detect the text whatever you put.
There are some new features which called the instant translate released recently for the mobile version of google translate. Sometimes, it might take too long for you to type in a language that you don’t understand when you are on a trip in somewhere but you don’t understand the sign. You can now press the camera icon which leads you to a scanning procedure, it will automatically translate for you or even you are in a conversation with people, you can type the mic icon which can also translate instantly.
Google translate will detect what language you are speaking. The other feature is that you can see a squiggle symbol. After you write words on it, even if you haven’t finished your word, the apps will predict what you might need so you can select it.
When you have more stuff to translate and you might want to save it, you can save what you have just translated in a phrasebook by clicking the icon that is with a book and a star.
Lastly, you can also hit the button “wrong” so that when you spot an error, the correction can be implemented by google translate. Not only google translate can do it instantly, but also you can use it offline after the new update.
How to use google translate? (PC version)
It is not a big difference between pc version and mobile version but you are not able to download google translate. It is right there online. The features are basically the same as the mobile version which are two boxes in the webpage, the left-hand corner is the language you translate, the right-hand corner is the one you read. You can press the languages to choose the right language you want to read and translate.
